Sim Yian Siang, born on 29th August 1977 in Kuching, is a distinguished Chartered Accountant with over two decades of experience in the fields of accounting, taxation, and auditing. He is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) based in the United Kingdom since 2010. In addition, he holds membership with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) since 2006 and the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) since 2007. His academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Law from the University of London, completed in 2016, further solidifying his strong legal and accounting expertise.
Sim Yian Siang’s career journey began as a Chartered Accountant in Gamuda Land, where he gained valuable industry experience in both accounting and financial management. In 2008, driven by a desire to provide specialized tax and accounting services, he founded Simtax Consultancy Sdn Bhd (Company Registration Number: 833699 H). The firm quickly earned a reputation as an approved tax agent, offering professional tax compliance and advisory services to individuals and businesses. Under his leadership, Simtax Consultancy built a diverse and loyal client base of over 2,000 companies, ranging from small enterprises to large corporations, which allowed him to gain a thorough understanding of various sectors.
Sim Yian Siang’s career took another major step forward in 2021, when he obtained his audit license and established Sim & Associates (AF002427), an audit firm where he serves as the Managing Partner. The firm specializes in providing a comprehensive range of auditing services, including financial statement audits, internal control evaluations, and risk management. In the same year, Sim Yian Siang also became a partner at Sim Neo & Partners (AF001886), an established audit firm, expanding his expertise in the auditing field.
